Amarca Counseling
Even as awareness of the importance of mental health has increased, many people remain hesitant and uncertain about what it is like to work with a therapist. If you are experiencing a significant life change or your usual coping strategies are no longer sufficient, you may find that having a confidential space to process your thoughts and develop new skills is worth the time and effort.
While our natural support systems of family and friends can alleviate stress, there may be other issues and concerns that are easier to share with an objective third party who has specialized training and experience. Therapy is a journey that can help you to regain your footing and focus on shaping life goals as they evolve. I have been honored to accompany many along the path to reclaiming a sense of peace and purpose, whether the challenges are related to the impact of illness on function and ability, navigating the strain that a major stressor puts on important relationships, or rethinking career trajectories and life plans.
